INSTRUCTIONS: HOW TO USE THE POUCH-TO-TUBE METHOD
  • First - cut the skinny tip of the pipette and half of the bubble side of the pipette. *Make sure to cut straight across.
  • Second - attach the bubble side of the pipette over the opening of the bulk lip gloss pouch. Puch down as far as possible.
  • Third - fill your lip gloss tubes in seconds!
  • Use the picture diagram below.

* The pouch-to-tube pipette and the syringe pipette are two different sizes and should be cut differently. Instructions on how to cut the syringe pipette can be found at the further down on this page.

* There should be minimal spilling when used properly. If the Pouch-to-Tube method is too tricky or you're losing a lot of product, please STOP and ask for help! Click on the chat button below and send a picture to customer service now.

Common Mistakes:

  • Not cutting both ends of the pipette.
  • Using the wrong pipette.
  • Using the wrong cutting instructions

LIKE ANY NEW SKILL, PRACTICE MAKES PROGRESS! Use the "customizing supplies" link below to purchase additional pipettes for practicing.
Keep reading below for an alternative lip gloss filling method using a syringe. Syringes must be purchased separately under "customizing supplies."

INSTRUCTIONS: HOW TO USE A LIP GLOSS KIT

CLEAN / SANITIZE

  • Clean/Sanitize your workstation and hands.
  • Our lip gloss tubes do not need to be pre-wash! Similar to cutlery and paper products, our lip gloss tubes meet a standard of clean.
  • If you decide to wash your lip gloss tubes, make sure they are completely dry before using.

Creating Your Lip Gloss Formula

  • Add pigment to a bowl.
  • Add consistency oil & mix well.
  • Add clear lip gloss base & mix well.
* Add as much oil and pigment as you desire. Have fun and create your own unique lip gloss formula. Make adjustments and make sure to record your final lip gloss formula.
Common Lip Gloss Formula Mistakes
  • Adding too much glitter may cause your lip gloss to be gritty.
  • Using excessive amounts of pigment will not change coverage.
  • Full coverage glossy lip products are usually called liquid lipstick and require a different mixing method.
  • Don't give up! Testing is part of the process. You can always use our Bulk Lip Gloss Base instead.

CUT 1ML PIPETTE & ATTACH TO SYRINGE

  • Cut off the skinny tip of the pipette.
  • Cut off all of the bubble end of the pipette.
  • Attach the cut pipette to the tip of the syringe. It should fit snug!
*The pouch-to-tube pipette and the syringe pipette are two different sizes and should be cut differently. Find the pouch-to-tube cutting instructions at the top of this page.

*There should be minimal spilling when used properly. If the syringe method is too tricky or you're losing a lot of product, please STOP and ask for help! Click on the chat button below and send a picture to customer service now.

Common Lip Gloss Syringe Filling Mistakes:

    • A syringe is not needed when using the pouch-to-tube method. Find instructions on how to use our pouch-to-tube method at the top of this page.
    • The 1mL pipette is for the syringe method only.
    • Both ends of the pipette must be cut.
    • All of the bubble end of the pipette must be cut off.
    • Oily gloves may cause the ink on the syringe to smear. Cover measurements with tape.
    • Pipette will not stay attached - the syringe tip must be clean before attaching the pipette. Use alcohol to clean the tip and pipette and re-attach.
    • Don't give up! Learning a new skill may take patience and multiple tries to become a Pro.

    FILLING A SYRINGE

You may be able to suck the lip gloss up into the syringe. If not, do the following:
    • Detach the plunger portion of the syringe.
    • Prop the syringe up in a heavy cup or mason jar.
    • Pour lip gloss mixture into the syringe.
    • Before attaching the plunger - place the pipette end of the syringe system into an empty lip gloss tube. This will help prevent spilling from the pressure.
    • Push the plunger into the syringe and fill your lip gloss tubes.

    FILL LIP GLOSS TUBES

    Common Lip Gloss Filling Mistakes:
    • Wand tubes can't be filled to the max.
    • Some empty space is needed for the stopper.
    • Some empty space is also needed for the displacement caused by inserting the wand.
    • Overfilling wand tubes may make inserting the wand difficult. Discard a small amount of lip gloss until the stopper stays down.
    • Squeeze tubes can be filled to the max to prevent them appearing empty and used.
    * This may take some trial and error. When using new lip gloss tubes only fill a few to find the maximum fill line. Each lip gloss tube has a different maximum fill line.
    * Continue reading for common mistakes when inserting the stopper.

    ADDING CHARMS TO LIP GLOSS

    • Fill your lip gloss tubes halfway with lip gloss.
    • Add a few charms.
    • Add more lip gloss.
    • Insert the stopper and wand.
    • Use the wand to distribute the charms.
    * The charms can also be added in layers. Make sure to keep the opening of the lip gloss tube clean to prevent stopper issues.

    LIP GLOSS STOPPERS & TOPS

After filling your lip gloss tube with lip gloss:
    • Push the stopper into the lip gloss tube.
    • Screw the top or wand on.
    Common Lip Gloss Stopper Mistakes:
    • Overfilling wand tubes may cause the stopper to pop out. Discard a small amount of lip gloss until the stopper stays down.
    • Trapped air may cause pressure that forces the stopper to pop back out when inserting the wand. Try releasing the pressure inside the tubes.
    • Getting too much lip gloss on the lip gloss tube opening may cause stopper issues. Use a clean napkin to wipe the tube opening and the stopper and try again.

    KEEP YOUR GLOVES CLEAN

No bath needed if you keep your gloves and workstation clean. Keep your glosses clean with napkins and alcohol.
    Final Common Mistake to Avoid:
    • We personally would not sell any lip glosses that get extremely messy and oily.
    • Remember that presentation is important.
